It's February 10 and the weather forecast wasn't good. Heavy snow was expected to hit many parts of Japan including the Kanto region. We still decided to board the train and went to Nikko. We expected some train delays so we modified our itinerary; we would only visit Toshogu Shrine and eat tantan yakisoba at Akinoya.

When we arrived at Nikko station, train services to and from Nikko were reduced, and the last train was scheduled to leave at 5:15PM. Because of this, we decided to just stroll around downtown Nikko and have tantan Yakisoba at Akinoya. Before we left, we bought cheesecake at Nikko Castella.
