Welcome to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Temple of Kynareath.

We begin our new journey in this old game with Daggerfall Unity 1.0.0 and a whole bunch of mods courtesy of ‪@Jwlar‬ and his video about the best Daggerfall mods to use. We opted to go for a customisation of their Vanilla++ mod list.

We start off by making a custom class that has the ability to use magic, but only in the darkness and has a lot of spell points because of their increased magery. However, they have a weakness to poison, disease, and paralysis. Thankfully, they'll get enough spells to counteract said weaknesses in time with the flick of a finger. We also made sure that our character cannot wear any plate armour or use anything made out of Daedric or Orcish materials. We then further gave them the ability to regenerate health and that too, quickly when in the darkness while giving them 18 Hit Points per roll of the dice, making them sort of overpowered.

As for their background, we opted to get a Cuirass and an Ebony Knife along with other benefits such as a slight boost to Daedric and our Strength as well as making our Destruction and Restoration skill trees stronger. We dump essentially all our stats into Intelligence and Willpower and show some love to Endurance and Speed while completely ignoring Personality and Luck, making our character one unlucky and uncharismatic magician.

With that, we end our journey into character creation. Here it is broken down into chapters:

00:00 Introduction
02:24 Choosing a Race
03:49 Creating a Custom Class
25:30 Creating a Background
35:33 Rolling Attributes

Stay tuned to officially begin the game of The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall in it's Unity Mod.
