WADI NAQAB - THE SHERI VILLAGE TREK PART 1

December 01 2020 at 0400 hours, We travelled from Dubai to Ras Al Khaimah for an overnight camping on a common trekking area at Wadi Naqab.

We begin our trek at around 0700 hours at the Wadi Naqab fork. Our destination is a village that sits on a plateau with an elevation around 800 meters above sea level. An old community settlement named the "Sheri Village". The village only access is thru those steep terrain. During our trek we met one of the village owner who's climbing up with his grand children and care takers. He was quite old, maybe in his mid 60's but still in very good physical condition to climb the steep terrain. He was very amazing and He also invited us at their place but they were heading on the other side of the village on a different route. We are very pleased and thank Him for the invitation, and then we split ways in the middle of the trail.

Overall the trail difficulty is considered an intermediate level.  The lower part of the trail consist of large boulders and lots of switchbacks, We find some parts of the trail that has vegetations but most of the trail consist of boulders. And when it gets to higher elevation, the terrain becomes more steep, with so many loose rocks and exposed to sunlight.

But all in all its a great trail with lots of scenic views, with mountains on both sides that provide shade in the lower elevation of the trail and most of all it consist a beautiful and amazing rock landscapes.
