A Brief History of Electric Blues @ The Garibaldi Live

Описание к видео A Brief History of Electric Blues @ The Garibaldi Live

Chess Records was one of the most prominent of the independent labels in the USA that had a lasting influence on the world of blues music. Chess captured great blues musicians like Muddy Waters in their prime, and helped power the musical deluge that would envelop the world of rhythm ‘n’ blues, rock ’n’ roll (and beyond), with vibrant recordings by the likes of Chuck Berry, Howlin' Wolf, etc.

Enjoy a live concert journey through the rich musical legacy of Chess and similar labels, from the early days right up to the present, in the company of blues aficionados Mat Day, and a select group of musicians, who provide a compelling and illustrative presentation of the history of electric blues, from the early 50s right up to the present time.

Lineup:

Mat Day - guitar and vocals
Steve D - bass
Chris Hilliard - drums
Greg Coulson - keyboards and vocals
Boysey Battrum - tenor sax
Steve O'Gorman - alto sax
