Описание к видео "Karma in Advaita Vedanta – Simple Explanation"

"Karma in Advaita Vedanta – Simple Explanation"
"When we hear the word Karma, we usually think of ‘good deeds’ and ‘bad deeds’.
But in Advaita Vedanta, Karma is explained in a much deeper way.
"In Sanskrit, Karma simply means action.
Every thought, word, and deed is Karma.
And just like seeds grow into fruits, every action creates results that we will experience – either now or later."
"Advaita Vedanta says our actions are the reason we are caught in Samsara – the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth.
To explain this, Vedanta divides Karma into three types."
"First – Sanchita Karma:
This is like a storehouse. All the actions we have done in past lives are collected here, waiting to give results.
Second – Prarabdha Karma:
Out of this storehouse, a small portion is chosen to be experienced in this present life. That is why we are born in a particular family, face certain joys and struggles – it’s the Karma already ‘activated’ for this birth.
Third – Agami or Kriyamana Karma:
This is the Karma we are creating right now, in this very life. Our present choices become seeds for future experiences."
"In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna explains:
‘Do your duty, but don’t be attached to the results.’
This is called Karma Yoga – acting sincerely without selfishness.
When we do this, we slowly stop creating new binding Karma."
"But Advaita Vedanta teaches something even higher.
It says: ultimately, you are not the doer at all.
Your true Self – the Atman – is pure, eternal, untouched by Karma.
Just like the sun is not affected by the clouds, the Self is not affected by actions.
What gets affected is only the body and mind, not the real Self."
"So how do we become free from Karma?
Through Jnana – true knowledge of the Self.
When we realize, ‘I am not the body, I am not the mind, I am the eternal Atman’, then the cycle of Karma no longer binds us.
This is Moksha – liberation."

"In simple words:
• Karma keeps the cycle of life going.
• Karma Yoga helps us live without attachment.
• And Self-Knowledge, as taught in Advaita Vedanta, finally frees us from all Karma.
