How to get a rolled edge on leather | Bag with Rolled Edges | edge treatment for bags

Unlike vegetable tanned leathers, our chrome/oil tanned leathers are really soft. So one thing we need to do is firm up the edges to provide additional strength.

There are 4 ways we do this. In this video we'll show you the firsts way.

We call it "1/4 SRS edging" and...
we use our skiver, tape gun and the lighter weight Seiko sewing machine.

The SRS stands for Skive Roll Sew and the 1/4 means that this is a 1/4 inch skive.
