The Forgotten Abandoned Kmart - Ashtabula, OH. Enjoy a look at this vintage Kmart store that closed over 30 years ago! Closed in 1992 to make way for the Super Kmart that would open at the Ashtabula Town Square mall. As to whether or not this store was ever anything else after Kmart, I would say yes but I don't know what it could have been. The facade clearly shows paint covering up letters or scars of letters from a business or businesses after Kmart closed up in 1992.
