A Monkey Sterilization Unit is established at Chidiyapur Wildlife Rescue & Rehabilitation Center, Haridwar Forest Division, Uttarakhand. This Unit performs surgical sterilization of Monkeys, with the goal of reducing their population in the long run- and thereby addressing the rising conflict between humans and monkeys.
On males, minimal invasive method for vasectomy is conducted, and for females, their oviducts are cauterized by Laparoscopic technique.
This video- first in the series, demonstrates the tranquilizing procedure.
