Flawless Function
I use these adapter cables to connect to older machine controls, and they work right out of the box. I've had trouble with other USB/Serial adapter cables, but not this one. You don't have to manually install software, just plug-n-go. Windows will recognize the cable and install any necessary driver. You may have to go into the windows device driver control panel to discover which serial port it is attached as, and you can also use that control panel to set the communication parameters if necessary.
