Hastir Kanya

This is a Goalporiya Assamese Folk Song titled "hastir Kanya" originally sung by Padmashree Pratima Pandey Baruah.

My sister Bhaswati Sarma is an eminent performer of folk songs especially because we have spent our childhood in the famous Goalpara district and my Father has taken immense pain in teaching us such music. Although Tabla is usually not accompanied with Goalporia folk songs, yet since we do not have a dhol, my brother seems to help us with Tabla!
