FULL ITINERARY BELOW:

Tickets - 11k+ RT (not the best price but I booked my flights only a month before and it wasn't on a seat sale)
Accommodation - 6k+ (booked a capsule coz I wanted to experience it and was a lot cheaper. Only to realize that I shouldn't skimp on my sleeping area as someone who is quite insomniac)

I think I spent more or less 30k for this 6N5D trip. This includes my airfare, hostel, food, tours, and pasalubong.

MORE TAIWAN TRAVEL TIPS:
1. Book your SIM card and EasyCard in advance for hassle free transaction. Both can be picked up in Taoyuan International airport. I booked mine via Klook.
2. Don’t be scared to load up on your EasyCard! The remaining balance is convertible after your stay. In my case, my original balance wasn’t even enough since I kept going around and exploring the island!
3. Make use of the MRT map guide! It’s your lifeline in helping you go around the island! Their MRT is very efficient and can take you everywhere.
4. For food—most of the time, wherever the long line is, it’s most likely the good shop as well. Taiwanese people really wait in line for something worth it for them. EXPLORE ALL THEIR NIGHT MARKETS!! Taiwan is really BIG on night markets!
5. Google translate images is very helpful as most of the stores are in Chinese characters.
6. There’s gonna be A LOT of walking so make sure to bring comfortable shoes.
7. Weather—I went in May and it was a mixture of hot and cold. Quite unpredictable because there would be days that would rain so it ends up getting really cold.
