My first Empire campaign walkthrough of Warhammer: Mark of Chaos (Gold Edition means the Battle March expansion is included).
This is a Warhammer real-time strategy RPG that will feel familiar to a Total War or Battle for Middle Earth player. This is a great game for fans of The Old World / Warhammer Fantasy and it’s often available on sale on GOG. I’ll be starting from the very beginning so that you can see how to play Mark of Chaos and get an overview of the rules for each mission and ultimately how to win the game (or at least the campaign). I’ll also show off the unit stats, skills and wargear for each faction and hero.
Just like Total War: Warhammer you battle with a variety of units and utilize hero units with special abilities to swing the tide of battle. All of the classic units are here, Empire Greatswords, Giants, Chaos Knights, Ork Boyz, even High Elf dragons to name a few.
While the campaign is great, this game also has a scenario mode and multiplayer. The game also includes an “army painter” where you can design the colors for your armies, it’s a nice feature for those who want to customize and very useful for tabletop gamers who want to test color schemes for their armies.


Pros:
Gritty Warhammer Fantasy atmosphere
Plenty of upgrades, units & items
Immersive gameplay features like siegecraft and magic
Army painter (skirmish mode)
Giants falling can crush units

Cons:
Visuals are a little dated in places
