Sýkora modřinka (Cyanistes caeruleus) je naše nejmenší sýkora, obě pohlaví jsou zbarvena stejně, samička má ale zbarvení matnější. U nás jsou modřinky stálé, jen mladí ptáci se potulují na jih a jihozápad, v zimě se u nás objevují zimující ptáci ze severovýchodu. Potravu tvoří hmyz, hlavně housenky a pavouci, od podzimu i semena, také ozobává zralé ovoce, bobule a pupeny stromů.
