NEPAL POV Presents Makalu Barun National Park - The Hidden Gem of Nepal || Full Length ||

We started our journey from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar via plane. From Tumlingtar we took a 4x jeep to Khandbari - Num. We have already contacted and hired a local guide (Dorje Sherpa) there. The next day we started our trek from Num to Tasi Gaun which took us straight 12 hours of walk. It was a total of 15 days trek across the great dramatic landscape and Himalayas of Makalu Barun National Park. We walked 9 hours on average per day filming and enjoying the mountains and lifestyle of Sherpa people.

Basic Itinerary overview
Day 1 Fly to Tumlingtar from Kathmandu and drive to Num.
Day 2 Trek to Seduwa and to Tashigaon.
Day 3 Trek to Khongma Danda.
Day 4 Trek across the Khongma La, Shipton La, and Keke La Pass to reach Dobato.
Day 5 Trek to Yangle Kharka
Day 6 Trek to Shiva Dhara and back to Yangle Kharka
Day 7 Trek to Langmale via Yangle Kharka.
Day 8 Trek to Makalu Base Camp.

Fooding and lodging will cost you around Rs. 2000 per day.

Local guide/potter will cost you Rs. 1000 per camp not per day, and there are 7 camps. If you somehow cross 2 camps in a day, then he will charge you more. And we highly recommend getting a guide.
