Vantage can be summarized as follows:
In its first version is a shoddy production, lazy writing, missing entries, scattered instructions, and is best avoided.

At best (later editions, hopefully) it tries to be a collection of 126 different story openings that players can follow up on for a handful of scenes. The player gets a string of unrelated scenes and is invited to construct a story around it, as well as taking from memory what earlier plays gave him.
At planetfall you have no cards in grid but tokens to mitigate, and as you fill your grid with cards, your tokens dry up. Either you die very soon, or the game becomes too easy and will take forever unless you include a control mechanism (not provided by SM).

2:00 out of nowhere a predator.
2:30 game state is not tracked. I already have a boat. Am I carrying it on my back?
3:00 Character actions on items often lead to empty entries in sb. Careless, sloppy.
4:00 check for yourself all non-blue books have missing entries in the 1000+ range.
5:00 rulebook is a brainfart, unedited. Well done to the 30+ editors.
5:30 setup should be completely rewritten. It is amateurish, my 1st ks quality.
6:00 nowhere in instructions is explained where these cards are.
6:30 write the range on a sheet of paper yourself and scotch tape there.
7:00 cards are extremely flimsy and damage very quickly.
7:30 mats - better than nothing, but not much. And don't fit inside the box.
7:45 wooden coins - too light for my taste, but better than cardboard.
8:00 The wooden skill tokens fit in the green tray, but barely.
8:30 metal coins is overproduced, and underused. Don't do it.
9:00 only place to spend coin was in a city, but you rarely make it that far.
9:20 maybe next edition has a slightly deeper box..
9:35 LPT for solo play: compartmentalize!
9:55 LPT to compensate for solo:
1 CD less,
free travel to numbered locations, and
a 4x4 grid, not a 3x3.
