Thank you for watching our Ford Focus fender removal video. This was a fun repair because this particular Ford Ruby Red color can be a problem for some painters. We did get a sample from our customer and matched it with the best variant but we did NOT blend it. We specialize in pre-painted auto body parts, so we cannot paint blend your vehicle if we do not have it! Please let us know what you think about our color match!

TOOLS:
You will need a 10mm socket wrench or open wrench. You will also need a panel clip removal tool for the plastic clips. You can also use a flat-head screwdriver to pop the clips off. For the headlight, you will need a star hex bit or screwdriver for the top bolt. You will also need a panel clip removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver to remove plastic clips.

PROCESS:
This is a pretty standard fender removal process for a Ford Focus. You do have to remove the headlight to access the nose of the fender. It's not a complicated procedure but you will need a special star key to remove a bolt. Once you get the headlight off, you can now focus on the fender. The best way to do this is to start on the top of the fender and remove any bolts you may see. We did work our way in front of the side view mirror but we left one bolt/nut on just in case the fender wanted to fall on of us. We then went straight for the fender liner. There are quite a few clips here, and you'll want to use your panel removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver. If you have the panel clip removal tool, you won't struggle as much. If you have the screwdriver, just wedge it behind the clips and twist to pop them out. We then remove the fender liner, you just have to remove a handful more bolts. There is a hidden bolt behind the fender liner towards the door. Remove the foam piece and take this bolt out. From there, you can remove or loosen the rocker panel to reach the final two bolts under the fender. Now, you can remove your damaged fender!
