For the past eight years, Andrew Upton has been the artistic director of the Sydney Theatre Company (STC)—a role he shared with his actress wife Cate Blanchett for the first five of those years.

But with the family upping stakes and moving—temporarily—to the US next year, Andrew Upton has unveiled his final season for the STC.

The 2016 programme will include plays written by some of the greats, including Noel Coward, Tom Stoppard and Australia's Louis Nowra.

It will also see a reprise of the hugely popular stage adaptation of Kate Grenville's book, The Secret River.

The full programme has just been launched.
