Dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters were arrested in London on the evening of Thursday, October 2, amid clashes with police.

The Metropolitan Police said that 40 protesters were arrested, with six of those arrests being for “assaults on police officers.”

The protest was organised by the Global Movement to Gaza UK, who said they were demanding “protection of the Global Sumud Flotilla” and to “break the siege, end all arms sales to Israel, [and] decolonise Palestine.”
