Menelik II: The Battle of Chelenqo - 1887

Ethiopian histories often gloss over Menelik's southern conquests. That said, glossing over these campaigns is perhaps the biggest mistake one can make if they want to understand Ethiopian history - they were critical for the rise of Ethiopia's most famous Emperor. After years of preparation, this future Emperor is now preparing himself for one of his most important conquests - that of the city of Harar.
