Treetops Walk, Hokitika, New Zealand

Today we are at the Treetops Walk just south of Hokitika.
It's a beautiful walk among the treetops overlooking Lake Mahinapua.
Set 20 metres above the forest floor with the tower another 20 metres higher, you get a great view over the ancient Rimu and Kamahi trees in the forest and you can look out over the lake and beyond to the Tasman sea.
Unlike our last visit here which was overcast with occasional drizzle, today we had a beautiful day with very little wind and lots of sunshine, a very unique experience well worth visiting and a nice cafe where we enjoyed some lunch afterwards.
