Maya basically is everything that we see in this universe. The way the world is, is Maya. It is the Foundation/Framework on which this entire universe and any other universes exist. Look at it this way, For anything to exist There needs to be some kind of a setting or a framework. For a Movie to be played, there needs to be a screen behind. For a Performance to happen, there needs to be a stage. For Tall skyscrapers to stand, there needs to be a strong Foundation or a substructure. This foundation may not be visible or obvious to everyone. Because when we see and admire tall, beautiful buildings we usually do not perceive or acknowledge the substructure within the ground which is holding that building in place, without which the entire building ceases to exist. But How is this world an illusion?
