Tape Sessions ep# 1.1 MIXING FROM TAPE

My friend Andy Guida and I recently began this new project in the studio. Here's the skinny: it starts with one of us writing and tracking an instrument and then the other one writes the next part. We've tracked all the instrumentation to tape and today we're doing a mixdown from tape into a stereo track in ProTools. There will be an ITB mix coming later, I'm sure. As these things become available, I will post links below.
This is the second video in the series. I work through a few passes to get levels, insert eq, compression on a few tracks, and add some parallel compression on the drums.
