Final sound test of finished customized harp, and application of black gaffer's tape to darken tone.

Covers have a huge impact on sound of the harp to the player, different materials sound different (brass versus wood versus stainless steel) and in this case the application of the Gaffer's tape really rounds out the tone.

List of customizations: Reshaping covers, sanding top face of comb, sanding undersurface of mouthpiece, smoothing mouthpiece screw slot in slide, lapping slide to the 2 blanks, application of tape to darken tone.

A $56 harp can become fantastic.

In this video David gives a sound test, then applies tape and retests.

"It goes to show that any player can take a basic harp and make dross to gold...I love it."
