Belur Chennakeshava Temple is must visit temple in Karnataka. It is 25kms from chikmangalore. This temple was constructed 900 years back and it took 103 years to complete. Hoysalas built this temple. The whole area of the temple is in 4 to 5 acer. This temple is Lord Vishnu Temple.. People here called him Chennakesava so this temple is named as Belur Chennakesava Temple. There are 48 different pillars in the temple. According to archaeology department there are more than 10000 sculpters in this temple.
