Wenceslas Square (Václavské náměstí)
This Square is the commercial and administrative centre of the city and the site of important social and historical events. You'll find cinemas, theatres, banks, hotels, restaurants, dozens of small and large shops, and administrative centres here. The Square was created when Charles IV founded the New Town in 1348. Today, it is dominated by the National Museum (1885 – 1891) and Josef Václav Myslbek's statue of the national patron, St Wenceslas, from 1912.

Na prikope (Na Příkopě) is a street in the centre of Prague, Czech Republic, connecting Wenceslas Square with Republic Square.
It separates the Old Town from the New Town. It is a place of representative buildings, including the headquarters of the Czech National Bank, old palaces, and luxurious shops.
Na Příkopě Street leads to the site of the former 10-meter-wide and 8-meter-deep moat from 1234, which led along the medieval walls of the Old Town. Water flowed directly from the Vltava River, and when the moat was filled, the Old Town formed a closed island. The moat was covered in 1760. After wrapping, chestnut trees were planted here, and the street was named Ve starých alejích (In old alleys). In 1845-70, the street was named Kolowratská třída, and since 1871, it has bears the name Na Příkopě.
Because it was one of the few vast streets in Prague, it soon became a traffic artery. Since 1875, the first line of the Prague horse-drawn tram has been led here, and it has been electrified since 1899. In 1919, Můstek became the first intersection in Prague controlled by a traffic policeman. In 1927, the second intersection with light signalling occurred. Many new stores appeared on the street, and it became an important business centre of Prague's promenade.

The Estates Theatre or Stavovské Divadlo is a historical Prague, Czech Republic theatre. The Estates Theatre was annexed to the National Theatre in 1948 and currently draws on three artistic ensembles, opera, ballet, and drama, which perform at the Estates Theatre, the National Theatre, and the Kolowrat Theatre [cs] (separate building, Kolowrat Palace). The Theatre was built during the late 18th century in response to Enlightenment thought regarding public access to the Theatre, and theatres themselves demonstrate a nation's cultural standards.
The Estates Theatre was not limited to native participants; many famous European artists were also active. Individuals such as Carl Maria von Weber, Anton Rubinstein, Karl Goldmark, and Gustav Mahler conducted at the Estates Theatre. Other famous names include the actors A.W. Iffland, F. Raimund, J.N. Nestroy, opera singer Angelica Catalani and violin virtuoso Niccolò Paganini. One of the Estates Theatre's many claims to glory is its strong link with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who conducted the world premiere of his opera Don Giovanni here in October 1787. Also, in 1791, Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito was staged in public here for the first time in celebration of the coronation of Emperor Leopold II. It is the only Theatre left standing where Mozart performed.

Fruit Market (Ovocný trh) is a small, narrow square between Celetna and Rytířska streets in Prague. The market has existed since the early 13th century and was a fruit and vegetable trade centre until the early 20th century. Its current name has been in use since 1870. Several famous Prague buildings are located in the Square - the Estates Theatre (Stavovské Divadlo), the Karolinum, the Kolowrat Palace, the House of the Black Madonna (Dům U Černé Matky Boží), and the rear part of the Myslbek Palace. Today, the Fruit Market is part of the Old Town pedestrian zone.
