DIY Breeder Rack for BABY Snakes

Описание к видео DIY Breeder Rack for BABY Snakes

This breeder rack tutorial is a concept that can be adapted in a variety of ways but here is the rough idea.
Cut the 1/2" PVC Sheet Board into 16 pieces that are 20.5" x 16"
Deburr the edges with the deburring tool and use the Kreg Jig to drill pocket holes that are about 2.5" away from the the short sides and are perpendicular to the long sides of the board.
Lay one of your PVC Sheets on the ground and attach the pine boards to it. We have the larger boards in the back, flush with the edge of the shelves and the small boards attached towards the front leaving a 1" overhang for the front of the shelves. Make sure to brace the support boards using scrap wood/PVC so that they are the same distance at the top as they are on the bottom which will keep it from twisting or warping while you build the shelves in.
Use a prebuilt spacer like we have, or you can use two tubs with a thin piece of cardboard or sheet metal to create enough space to slide the tubs in without leaving space for a snake to escape.
Now you can just go through and attach the shelves at the right height starting at the bottom and working your way up with the spacer.
We attached heat tape in the back to our personal preference and covered it with an appropriately sized sheet of PVC.
Next we added a layer of poly insulation and attached a 1000 lb. furniture dolly to the bottom. This helps it to be able to roll freely and keeps it off of the cold concrete. As a final touch we added spray foam to insulate the bottom even further.

All in all this cost us around $250 excluding the 45, 30 or 15 Vision or Freedom Breeder Tubs (depending on the sizes you choose).
