Run For All Sheffield Half Marathon 2024

A very windy day and a chilly start to the morning, but soon warmed up after the race start.

Started a little too quick again and pushed a little harder on the first part of the hill than I should, so by the time I got to the hill around miles 4 and 5, the legs were suffering and started to struggle on the stretch up to the top of the hill to the aid station.

By the time I'd finally reached the top the quads felt fried and didn't feel like they recovered much on the flat on the downhill sections.
I did manage to pick up the pace again on the downhill sections, but I when I got back to any incline, the pace dropped off again.

Managed to average a 7:19min/mile pace in the end for an official finish time of 1:36:50.
425th finisher out of 5090 and 56th in M40 category
