The European Youth Capital is an honor and opportunity bestowed upon cities around Europe that focuses on empowering the local youth population, in the major cities of Europe. But what does it mean for the cities, the citizens and especially the youths around Europe? What is it like to be a young European these days, and how should legislators accommodate youth? How can we collaborate across European borders to create better and improved conditions for the younger generation? How can we engage more young people in local politics in Europe, so that they too get to play an active part in our democracies?

Debate held on 28 August 2022 from 12:00-13:00 on the Climate Stage at Political Festival of Europe in Mariager.
