CAPPUCCIO COLLECTIVE SMOOTH
The project is a mix of sounds and colors that generates a refined and international mood. The intent of CAPPUCCIO COLLECTIVE SMOOTH is to evoke the atmospheres of the smoothjazz of the 80s with modern sounds and to arouse the curiosity of the new generations about the musical period of those years, in which jazz was contaminated with other musical genres (including disco music ).
Characteristic of the project is the jazz matrix, but with a simplification of the harmonic and improvisational complexities, with a greater emphasis on more relaxing melodies and sounds compared to fusion, and therefore, much more catchy and marketable especially as regards radio broadcasting. Born in the pandemic from an idea by the musician and artistic producer Mimmo Cappuccio, the Cappuccio Collective Smooth collective, open to synergies and with flexible training, includes among the permanent members of the line up Annina Galiano on vocals, Aris Volpe on drums, Cristina Massaro on piano and keyboard, Mimmo Cappuccio on guitar, Ale Duke Migliore on percussion, Anastasia Cecere on flute..
