A rare glimpse at the eerie ghostly remains of the Derwent village that are revealed during drought at Ladybower Reservoir.

Maps in this video were sourced from the National Library of Scotland, and have been used as an overlay for some of the drone footage.

The largest foundation remaining are those from Derwent Hall which was built in 1672 demolished in 1944 in preparation for the valley to be flooded, creating the reservoir.
Alongside the hall, foundations from the Church, school, arched bridges and farms still remain. On the opposite side of the river a valve house remains almost intact.
Further down the valley towards the viaduct stood another village named Ashopton, but water levels need to be incredibly low to catch a glimpse of what once was.
