Driving through four Countries in a day - Europe

FOUR COUNTRIES IN A DAY - ROAD TRIP IN EUROPE

This was one of the very exciting days in my 25 days recent Europe Trip. We were staying in Engelberg, Switzerland previous night after visiting Mt Titlis.

1. Engelberg, Switzerland - Breakfast
2. Vaduz, Liechtenstein - Lunch
3. Bregenz, Austria - Evening Coffee
4. Black Forest, Germany - Dinner and stay

We were driving in this trip. Around 2 hours drive to Vaduz. We took break in between on the highway. And reached Vaduz by noon. Visited Vaduz Castle. Then had local authentic lunch in a great restaurant. We loved the food. I collect stamps. So I managed to find a post office opened on Sunday and got stamps.

Then we stopped at Bergenz, Austria and took cable car Pfänderbahn. This short cable car to the top of the hill gives you Panoramic view of Lake Constance. You can view four countries in a single photo shot. Then we had a coffee and pastry in a local cafe.

Our final destination was Black Forest in Germany wherebwe are going to stay for a few days. We reached our home in a hidden beautiful village by 7 PM and had lovely home cooked dinner. Nearest restaurant from our homestay was a few miles away and we rather wanted to eat home food and take rest for the night.

You can plan alternate places to start, go through and end. For example, you may start from Zurich, visit Vaduz and then Feldkirch in Austria and then end at Lindau in Germany. This will be a much shorter ride.
