This is a short guide for catching Verdigris Guppy which gives Earthbreak Aethersand. Adding in #ffxiv patch 6.3, it's a bit shy but is easily identified and will spear you some easy Earthbreak Aethersand for your new DoL/DoH Gear.

Min Gathering: Recommended Lv90+ Gear
Minimum Collectability for Sand: 17+

Before starting, turn on Collector's Glove, you must catch these fish as collectables to get Earthbreak Aethersand. Use the Teeming Waters in Eastern Bronze Lake, and then immediately use Nature's Bounty. Nature's Bounty increases the size of the fish speared, meaning higher collectability. Higher collectability means more Earthbreak Aethersand.

Verdigris Guppy is a small silhouette fish and is the faster of the two small silhouettes in the fishing hole. You should only attempt to spear the Verdigris Guppy. This means that you'll spend more time at the teeming waters, which means more time to spear, and more time for the Verdigris Guppy to spawn.

Use Aetherial Reduction to reduce the Verdigris Guppy into Earthbreak Aethersand. The higher the collectability to more like you are to get sand, and in a higher quantity.

🦈A Note About Noceasaur
You may get Spearfisher's Intuition if you get 4 Verdigris Guppy in a single window, this will give you Noceasaur which also is a collectable that gives Earthbreak Aethersand. We do not recommend targeting this fish if you are farming Earthbreak Aethersand and instead consider it a fun little bonus you get when you're extra lucky. It's a large silhouette and is very fast.
