The Sturgeon Full Moon Is Coming: Everything to Know
The Sturgeon Moon, August's full moon, will be visible in San Antonio, Texas on the night of Friday, August 8th into Saturday, August 9th. It gets its name from the sturgeon fish, which are readily caught during this time of year in the Great Lakes region according to The Old Farmer's Almanac. This full moon is also sometimes called the "blue moon" when it occurs as the second full moon in a calendar month according to KSAT.
