highlighted is the roman road, this would have come from The Roman fort at Caerleon, 14 miles away. It was the biggest Roman Dock, outside of Europe, it was the only one, with an Ampitheatre. Which quelled the natives, the Sulurites at the hill fort Of Risca, roman being isca. Of which my familly name Gruffydd came from, in english, tight grip leader!
