The scientific and spiritual quest of humanity have been two major quests for truth. Unfortunately, even intellectuals feel that these are antagonistic to each other. Because of this, education asks an individual to specialise in one or the other, creating a lop-sided development. This talk investigates why this happens and shows that these can be two complementary quests for discovering order both in the external world and in the inner world of our consciousness.
