Widgets

Widgets allow a user or caller to change various parameters of the program.

dbutils.widgets provides utilities for working with notebook widgets. You can create different types of widgets and get their bound value.

When building a notebook and testing scenarios, it is handy to have a widget to allow you to quickly change portions of your workflow.

When you are ready to deploy your solution, widgets allow you to have parameters (similar to a parameter in a SQL Stored Proc) that you can pass in when calling your notebook.

This is required when you deploy something to prod so that you can dynamically point your program to production databases etc.

Widgets are part of base dbx (inside of dbutils) and do not need an import statement.
