Piano Trio by John S. Wilson

The Piano Trio by John S. Wilson was recorded on 20 March 2023 in Jesus College Chapel, Cambridge, and was first performed in its entirety in March 2023 as part of the 2023 Cambridge Festival. The performers were:

The first movement tries to capture in music the philosopher’s attempt to study and understand ideas by exploring them from all possible angles. The second movement, Politicians, had been performed earlier, with the title, ‘Feste the Clown’, and it also exists in an arrangement for violin, clarinet and piano. The final movement, Philanthropists, describes a world of full of energy and positive spirit.
