Visiting A Scottish Shooting Estate

As part of our full series, 'From Suit to Shoot', Kirby Allison has arrived at his final destination in Scotland, and his accommodation for the shooting days to follow. Craigsanquhar Estate is an Orvis endorsed wingshooting lodge, just 6 miles from the historic town of St. Andrews and home to the quitessential Scottish country house. Set among 36 acres of woodlands and gardens, nestled in the rolling hills of Fife, this couldn’t be a more picturesque location for the climax of this series.

General manager of the estate, Jason Herkes, was a superbly gracious host, and was only too happy to take a morning to show Kirby around the estate, giving us an exclusive look at what goes into running a Scottish shooting estate.
