"Marche Henri IV" / "Vive Henri IV" was a popular French song which has been heard since 1581. It was adopted as the Royal Anthem of France in 1590. It was banned in 1792 as a result of the French Revolution, but it was later readopted during the Restauration. It was, then, relinquished for the final time in 1830 with the birth of the "July Monarchy".
