The Central Bank of New Zealand is expected to remain on hold during their monetary policy meeting in tomorrow’s Asian session.

USD/JPY is nearing the $150 level, sparking market concern about a potential Japanese Government intervention in the FX market. In the meantime, the RBA remained on hold yet hinted that they may need to increase interest rates in the future.

The US Manufacturing PMI’s came in better than expected, hinting at a resilient manufacturing industry despite high-interest rates. Also, trading resumes for Chinese embattled property developer Evergrande, after being suspended in the Hong Kong exchange last Thursday.

BoE Mann hinted that interest rates may remain at their current levels for a prolonged period of time.
