Restrictions have been the highlight of this boating season and I've had to book locks in advance. It's a pain, that involves planning and thus far this year our plans have gone down the pan. Sykehouse Lock is booked for 10am and Pollington Lock for 12pm. Giving traveling boats 2 hours to travel, more than enough time.

I'm on my own, single-handing through locks and swing bridges, even though I'm part of a convoy. Dave's earning the pennies to keep me in the boating lifestyle I've become accustomed to. This is just a short boating journey, cruising around the corner onto a new canal the Aire and Calder Canal.

I love this canal, it's so beautiful and wide, deep and open. The scenery is breathtaking and the wildlife seems to be playing chicken, which was odd as they were waterfowl


Cruising the Cut now as full-time liveaboards. Breath in, the sense of freedom and enjoy as you step aboard. This is our 2021 boating season, we hope you'll come along for the ride, we are keen to become continuous cruisers. Cruising somewhere - A journey never-ending
