INTRO:
Chakra (chakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy centers in our body. They are spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic astral body. Although there are 114 different chakras in our body, seven 7 main chakras are located in our astral body, along the spine, starting at its base and running upwards to the crown of the head. The astral body is the energy body residing inside our physical body. Each physical body part has a corresponding astral body part. The astral body cannot be seen or touched. This is also a reason why we cannot see the chakras.
These 7 Chakras are "focalized" centers of awareness, consciousness, and sacredness in our body, through which energy flows. If our body can’t let the energy pass through all 7 centers, there can be an internal imbalance leading to mental, emotional, physical, and psychological disorders. The conscious awareness and balancing of these energy centers will lead us to be our best selves.
