Getting Started With a Family Milk Cow

Getting started with a family milk cow is an exciting step in your homesteading journey! Today we go over the basics of getting your first milk cow. Bossy, our cow is Speckle Park mixed with Holstein. She is pregnant so soon we will have milk and a calf to raise for beef! There are a lot of things to consider before bringing home a family milk cow. The breed, space and shelter, hay and grain, and how to breed them are some we cover today.
