Watkins Glen State Park | USA

This place was worth our 4 hour drive! What a beautiful place to hike! With 19 spectacular waterfalls, including sections that the trail actually has you standing under a waterfall, it’s a beautiful walk. You can easily see it in a few hours. The trail is approximately 2 miles, with glorious views along the way. Try to time your walk so you can see a train pass over the bridge near the top of the trail. We chose to take the upper path back so we could meander through the cemetery- there’s a lot of history there! Certain sections of the trail are wet and slippery, there’s some narrow stairs (180 in total throughout ) and uneven pathways so be sure to wear sturdy footwear. Weekends are really busy. You will need to pay for parking in the park’s lot, but entrance to the park is free.
