INCIDENT DESCRIPTION
At 2:20 pm on October 2, 2024, the Seattle Fire Department responded to a fire-in-building, with report of smoke in a building along with a triggered fire alarm at 424 Minor Avenue N. The Canaday House, six stories tall, is a supportive housing apartment that is unfortunately no stranger to various SFD responses (Nearly 1700 responses in 14 years). Nothing was visible on arrival, and it was determined the food-on-stove fire was already out. Police and fire marshal were requested but later cancelled. The fire was referred to as a food-on-stove fire, but one unit also referenced smoking materials being involved. The incident lasted just over half an hour.

AUDIO
This is real audio from SFD Channel 1 from the incident. Audio was recorded live alongside the video, so it is actually synced properly! The only exception is the very end- in reality, dispatch was about ten seconds slow to answer the cancel units report. I cut that extra time out.

MY NOTES
Another video actually edited on time, which I need to do to keep my hard drive in check. I can't tell you how much footage I have that needs to be edited, there must be dozens of videos to make.
And as stated in my last video, a Bellevue fire response video is being edited and is nearly done, and will feature a couple Kirkland units, so stay tuned for that!

WTCR seeks to highlight the everyday operations of first responders in several major Washington state cities, as seen from public traffic cameras. This channel focuses on their actions, responses, and of course their shiny trucks. WTCR is not monetized.
Thanks for watching! These descriptions sure take a long time to write...
