Happy Halloween!

This series' soundtrack came up a while back but I ultimately decided to wait til Halloween to take it on since I felt it'd be appropriate. I have fond memories of the early Silent Hill games so this medley is really focused on just the two first games since they both had great tracks. I really wanted to incorporate the theme song and songs like Promise and Theme of Laura in the same medley since they are so contrasting in feel, yet so similar in composition. In fact a lot of the songs from Silent Hill are similar which made it very easy to transition between them!

I'm starting to feel confident about my rhythm guitar tone again now that I'm getting the basics down on the Pod HD Pro. I really tried to pump out more rhythmic stuff in this as a test to see how clear some more intricate rhythms can be, and I also wanted to really go nuts seeing as this is my first medley with new Pod. Arranging between songs was easy, but the song order was not. Originally I think I had Promise after Laura, but ultimately felt the tempo change made more sense going the way I did. Also the original cut had the Music Box, Overdose Illusion and some others but it was pushing like 20 minutes long! It was really tough to compress these songs to fit my 7 minute medley format. Sorry if something you wanted to hear didn't make the cut but hope you enjoy all the same!

This past month I've been really feeling around and getting used to the Pod HD Pro. Now that I'm feeling a bit better with it, hopefully I can take on some much bigger and cooler tracks for November! See you next week! :D
