This is my Benchmade 3550, Pardue Auto Knife.
I recently broke the spring that opens the blade, and was able to repair it at home with another spring.
I explain how I did it, and show how well the new spring works.
If you don't want to send Benchmade your knife, buying a pack of assorted springs is a good option. I didn't want to try to get auto knife springs into New York, and I sure didn't want to send out my knife.
Also me rambling about the laws in New York, and how they worked when I bought the knife. YES, I bought this auto knife in New York state from a Benchmade dealer, and all I needed was a valid fishing license to buy it. I don't know if the laws have since changed. This was not in New York City, that place has their own laws, and I'm sure they are more strict than the real parts of the state.
