Believe it or not, we embarked on the journey to build our first custom motorcycle all the way back in 2011, and after a lot of work and a ton of patience, this is the result: the Moto Guzzi 850T BETO. In our latest Revival Build Bio, Alan walks us through the initial inspiration, the various design concepts, and, of course, the end result — which we think you're going to dig as much as we do.

This commissioned custom was based on one overwhelming principle: design. We wanted it to flow from one piece to the next, as though every part was meant to be here right from the beginning. The build started with a basket-case 1975 Moto Guzzi 850T. As the plan progressed, we realized that this bike would become a very modern machine, with inverted forks and a rear monoshock setup.

The most important thing to understand about Revival is that the work is all done in-house. When we're not constrained by budget, we rarely purchase off-the-shelf parts. We're an independent shop made up of passionate people who refuse to simply 'send out' the challenging work to others. We have a fully functional CNC lathe and mill, along with all the welding, bending, shaping and fabrication tools we'll need to handle anything and everything that comes our way. This allows us to control how things are built and keep the quality of our work high, of course. But perhaps most importantly, we also learn new skills with every single build.
