Knockma Wood Trail is one of the best hikes I have done in Ireland. It is situated at the west of Tuam in County Galway , Ireland. It is about 5 kilometres from Tuam , so Knockma Forest Walk is considered as the number 1 things to do in Tuam , County Galway. It is also called as the ' Hill of Maeve' . Maeve was the legendary Queen of Connacht and it is said she was buried in the hill but I could not see it. It is also considered to be the home of Fairies. There is a positive vibe in this hiking trail. 'Alfred The Great' Movie was filmed here in 1960's.
