This is a genuine 19th century dagger from South Morocco in a stunning condition !!
This is a rare variant of the classical Moroccan Koumaya/Koummya curved dagger with a straight and slightly curved double edge blade.
This weapon is made of noble materials : sterling silver and lamb's bone.The Sheath and the hilt are finely engraved with berber motives, especially the protectives eyes.
These are pre-arabian motives inspired from Ancient Egypt

The hilt is made in lamb bone and decorated with a medium engraved sterling silver pummel cap.
The iron blade is in a stunning condition and it's nicely polished.
Excellent overall condition, with no repairs noted.
We can see the hits of the hammer on the blade made by the craftman.
Measurements: 39cm in scabbard. Scabbard 23cm measurements include curvature, Blade 16cm.
